TEKVOX, Inc., an audio-visual technology developer, reported completing a $510,000 financing.
The Austin-based startup collected the capital from 13 investors, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Tekvox, founded earlier this year, develops technology for audio-visual applications in education and corporate campuses. It was founded by Mike Slattery, the inventor of TekPatrol, who previously worked at San Antonio-based Datapoint Corp., New York-based Vidicom Inc. and state of Washington-based Rane Corp., according to the Tekvox website.
CEO Jim Reinhart was previously chief executive and co-founder of Luminary Micro Inc., an Austin-based company that was acquired in 2009 by Dallas-based Texas Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: TXN) for an undisclosed amount. Luminary Micro developed ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontrollers.
